
A homeless man has been charged with disorderly conduct after a run-in with a local store manager and the police.
Andrew McCain, 56, was arrested June 13 after Tarpon Springs Police say he threatened a Publix manager.
Police say the incident took place at the entrance to the 40932 U.S. 19 store.
According to an arrest affidavit, Publix manager Darren Steffy told McCain to "stop panhandling" on the store's property.
After Steffy instructed McCain to stop, he "became belligerent" and began screaming obscenities, the report said. McCain threatened Steffy and told him he was going to "shove his flute down his throat."
McCain has no known address, but does have a long history of arrests in the area, He was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
McCain was sentenced to serve time at the Pinellas County Jail.
