Mexican Cuisine Hard To Find In Tarpon Springs

Whether you're into bean burritos, shrimp tacos or fresh guacamole, Los Mexicanos in Tarpon Springs is a rare find for all things south of the border.

While a number of area restaurants boast Italian and Greek delicacies, Los Mexicanos is somewhat of a lone ranger. The popular spot joins fellow Mexican restaurant Cielito Lindo Taqueria as the area's only authentic offerings, unless you want to throw Taco Bell into the mix.

Los Mexicanos in Tarpon Springs opened in 2006. The first location was opened on Indian Rocks Beach four months before. A third location was opened on St. Pete Beach a little more than a year after that. 

Although Los Mexicanos is less than a decade old in Pinellas County, a lot of folks will recognize the owner's first chain, Los Mariachis, which opened in Clearwater in 1996. 

The menu at Los Mexicanos is full of homegrown recipes, combination plates and vegetarian options.

Free chips and salsa are served upon seating and lunch specials are unmatched with prices starting at $5.75. Other menu items range from a la carte plates and fajitas to nachos, desserts and tortilla soup.

Guests can take their pick from a number of seating options including the outdoor patio, inside at the bar or in the dining room.
