Night in the Islands, Fall BBQ Bash and Motorcycle Toy Run

Friday

The Greek America Foundation will be hosting a complimentary reception in Palm Harbor. Founder of the organization, Gregory C. Pappas will be on hand to speak with those interested in getting involved with the non-profit organization. The group seeks to promote Greek culture and history in America. Tarponite, Jeff Vargas will also be in attendance.

Saturday

Jacobson Culinary Arts Academy will hosts its annual Fall BBQ Bash, starting at 11:30 a.m. Students will work alongside their chef instructors to prepare a variety of barbecue dishes, including ribs, chicken and pork. Admission is free and there will also be a bounce house, face painting and cookie decorating lessons available. 

The City of Tarpon Springs presents the monthly Night in the Islands celebration. The event takes place from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. Enjoy dining under the stars along Dodecanese Blvd. Ellada will perform authentic Greek tunes with dancing in the streets. Join Greek act, the Bouzouki Boys from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. as they get the party started early at Riverwalk (west of Hope St. on Dodecanese Blvd.).

Sunday

The Cops and Kids organization will host their Fifth Annual Motorcycle Toy Run and Fall Festival, starting at 10 a.m. at Craig Park (100 Beekman Ln.). Registration to ride is $10 plus one unwrapped toy. Each person to register will receive a free beer ticket as well. Live music, raffles and food will be available after the ride and during for those who do not participate.
