• Weekend Kick Off Party

Lagerheadz (606 North Pinellas Avenue) is having a celebration to ring in the weekend. Thank goodness it’s Friday and tonight the restaurant is willing to help everyone let loose. Live music will fill the air from 8-11pm. A New York Strip Steak special is a local favorite while there will be plenty of drink specials to go around as well.

• Tarpon Springs Triathlon

On Saturday at 7:30am, the 23rd Annual Tarpon Springs Triathlon will begin and end at . The event is hosted by the Tarpon Springs Rotary Club and includes a quarter-mile swim in the Gulf of Mexico followed by a 10.5-mile bike ride and a 5k run. Cheer on the participants and enjoy some food, cookies and beer after the race. For information about the event, call 727-937-6019.

• Night in the Islands

At 6pm on Saturday, head on down to the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks (entrance at Dodecanese Boulevard and North Pinellas Avenue) where a Night in the Islands will be taking place. The event sheds light on Greek culture, food and music offering a true sense of a Greece. Outdoor dining and Greek dancing are some of the highlights. The event is free and open to the public.

• Red Carpet Event

Beginning on Sunday at 5:30pm, Entertainment Global Media will celebrate its one-year-anniversary at the Zone Lounge (121 East Tarpon Avenue) with a red carpet event.
