• Tarpon CRA approves $4 million downtown hotel project (suncoastnews.com) — Tarpon Springs commissioners, acting as the CRA, have approved a final agreement for a $4 million boutique hotel and restaurant project on East Tarpon Avenue, replacing the long-vacant Forbes lot. The Tarpon Registry will bring about 12 hotel rooms, new retail and lounge space, and streetscape improvements downtown, with the developer taking on construction risk while the city gains long-term tax revenue and revitalization benefits.
   

• Pinellas deputies conduct Overnight Wolfpack Operation in memory of DUI victim (wfla.com) — Tarpon Springs Police officers joined a countywide overnight DUI “Wolf Pack” operation that led to 16 DUI arrests, 36 total criminal charges, and 233 citations across Pinellas County. The multi-agency effort, held in memory of a Dunedin DUI victim, focused on catching impaired drivers and raising awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence on local roads.
