Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries On U.S. 19 In Pinellas

A 42-year-old New Port Richey man is being treated for life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on U.S. 19 Saturday.

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — A 42-year-old New Port Richey man is being treated for life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on U.S. 19 Saturday.

According to Tarpon Spring police, at 3:41 a.m., a Chevy Impala was heading north on U.S. 19 when it struck Issam Hatimi who was walking north along the fog line on U.S. 19.

Hatimi was treated at the scene by Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue and Sunstar and was then taken to Bayonet Point Hospital.
