The Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce is organizing a scavenger hunt for charity.
On Saturday, September 15, folks will round up their teams and embark on a photo scavenger hunt around the city of Tarpon Springs. Each team (four individuals and one photographer) will be given a list of fun/funny places to snap a photo. Each completed mission is worth a certain number of points.
For instance: “Team sitting in a rocking chair on the beach = 15 points.”
At the end of the day, the photos will be shown on a big screen and the team with the most points will win the grand prize.
The cost for team entry is $100, which includes the chance to win prizes and a complimentary buffet at Dockside Sports Bar & Grill after the hunt is complete.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for area businesses, ranging from $250 to $500. The packages include team entry.
The scavenger hunt will benefit the local Suncoast Hospice.
Organizers are encouraging the teams to get creative with matching t-shirts and/or sashes that represent their sponsor or business. At the end of the event, an award will be given to the team with the most original uniforms.
The event begins at Dockside Sports Bar & Grill at 10am and the whistle blows at 4pm. After that, teams will reunite at Dockside’s for a complimentary buffet, gift basket drawing and liquor bucket drawing.
To register, visit the Tarpon Springs Chamber of Commerce (111 East Tarpon Avenue) or call the chamber at 727-937-6109.
