Pinellas County Animal Services Needs Volunteers

Do you have time to help an animal who needs time out of the shelter?

The Pinellas County Animal Services is seeking volunteers to be a part of their foster care team.

Volunteers are needed to foster pets that need time away from the shelter, including puppies and kittens too young for adoption, those recovering from surgery or illness and senior pets.

Interested in volunteering, here's what you need to know:

  • The program requires a foster application and approval.
  • All foster care parents are required to complete training and volunteer orientation on one of the following dates:
  • Wednesday, Aug. 14 for training from 5p.m. to 6 p.m.  until 6 p.m., and orientation class from 6p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • On Saturday, Sept. 14, foster training and volunteer orientation class begins at 9a.m. to 11:30a.m.
  • On Wednesday, Sept. 25, foster training and volunteer orientation class begins at 2:30p.m. to 5 p.m.
