Rusty Bellies' Seafood Hooks Locals

In addition to the waterfront view, Rusty Bellies offers a true taste of Tarpon.

One of the main facts I keep hearing about Tarpon Springs is that the food is “to die for.” Considering that I’m a foodie at heart, this had me even more thrilled to be moving to the area. I’ve been sampling different places and have had a blast trying all the different flavors this community has to offer.

My first stop was at Rusty Bellies on the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. The view is spectacular, the service was excellent and the food? Two words: on point.

As a first timer, I ordered the Challenger Grouper Souvlaki ($11.95). The freshness justified my decision as the right one. A grilled pita was brought to my table, stuffed with locally caught grouper, tomato, onion and garlic cucumber sauce. If your mouth is watering, it should be.

Since I’m officially a resident of Tarpon Springs now, I highly recommend Rusty Bellies and plan on going back often.
