Tarpon Elementary Enjoys Educational Fun at Winn-Dixie
Last week, Winn-Dixie invited families of Tarpon Springs Elementary School to add up the savings during a Family Fun Math Night.
On November 7, families of Tarpon Springs Elementary joined forces at Winn-Dixie to bring education to life.
Winn-Dixie provided materials to the students who calculated the answers to real world math problems.
The event brought families together as they scanned the isles and multiplied the joy of learning by utilizing prices, weights and quantities throughout the evening.

“We are very happy for our children and their families to be at Winn-Dixie solving math problems and utilizing the store as an extension of the classroom,” said Dorothy Freeman, community liaison at Tarpon Springs Elementary. “It’s a great partnership and we are happy to be here with Winn-Dixie."
Students solved a variety of math problems that tested their numerical knowledge throughout the store.
