VIDEO: East Lake High's Frisbee-Throwing Robot Headed to National Competition
Students in East Lake High School's Academy of Engineering built a Frisbee-throwing robot that won first place in the "FIRST Robotics Regional Competition" last weekend in Orlando.
Last month, we showed you some video of "Krunch 16", a cool Frisbee-throwing robot built by students in East Lake High School's Academy of Engineering.Â
The 70 students in the engineering program call themselves "Team Krunch 79". Their robot can launch a Frisbee 20-to-30 feet into a designated goal.
We're happy to report that Team Krunch 79 won first place in the FIRST Robotics Regional Competition March 9 in Orlando. Way to make your community proud! (Check out video from the competition.)
