When is Daylight Saving 2012?

Early morning commutes will seem to stay darker for longer until daylight saving takes place at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4. 

In case you forgot the saying, it goes, "spring ahead, fall back." So, that means set your clock, watch or alarm back by one hour.

These days, a lot of digital and electronic devices adjust themselves when daylight saving time begins or ends. 

When you change your clocks and watches for daylight saving time, it is usually a good time to check your smoke detector batteries and make sure they are still working. Visit the Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue at the Public Safety Building, 444 S. Huey Ave., to pick up a free smoke detector.

Firefighters are also available to install the detectors and/or new batteries if you are unable to do so.
