15 Nights of Holiday Lights

Patch wants to know who has the best outdoor lighting display in Temple Terrace.

December is here and so is the holiday season.

There’s a chill in the air, Christmas trees are being decorated, and menorahs will be lit later this month.

One of the most fun holiday traditions is arguably adorning houses and front yards with sparkling lights that mimic icicles, dance to music or flash season’s greetings messages.

Holiday lights can be fun, festive and mesmerizing. This year, Temple Terrace Patch aims to find the community’s best display. From Dec. 1 to 15, we plan to venture into neighborhoods to find fancy, interesting or over-the-top designs. Then, residents will choose their favorite display. We’re calling it 15 Nights of Holiday Lights.

Here’s how it works:

  • We’ll take pictures at houses we think have eye-catching lighting displays and then post them on Temple Terrace Patch. We’ll post one photo each day from Dec. 1 to 15.
  • Then, we’ll pick the three photos that represent the homes we think have the most interesting displays and let residents vote for their favorite from Dec. 16 to 20.
  • Voting will end at noon on Dec. 20, and the winner will be announced Dec. 21. The winner has bragging rights for the rest of the season.

Here’s the most important part: We want your help.

If you know of a house (maybe even your own) that has a killer display, let us know. Better yet, take a picture of the house at night, mark down the address, and email that information to ashley.reams@patch.com.

Happy Holidays!
