9-Year-Old Girl Killed In U.S. 301 Crash: FL Highway Patrol
A 9-year-old Riverview girl died from serious injuries in a U.S. 301 crash, Florida Highway Patrol said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A 9-year-old Riverview girl was killed in a Friday night crash on U.S. 301, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
A Chevrolet Trax driven by a 32-year-old Riverview woman was heading south on the highway at 11 p.m. the same time that a Ford Fusion with a 27-year-old Tampa man behind the wheel was heading north on the road.
At the interchange of State Road 618, the woman turned left into the car’s path and was hit by it, troopers said

She was brought to an area hospital with minor injuries, while the other driver was uninjured.
The girl, who was a passenger in the SUV, was brought to an area hospital with serious injuries, which she later died from.
