Add Pam Bondi for Senator
Temple Terrace community and political leader urges Governor Ron DeSantis to consider Bondi for Senator.

With the outstanding selection of Marco Antonio Rubio, the senior United States senator from Florida, a seat he has held since 2011, as the next Secretary of State, local political leader Tom Mortenson is asking the Governor to include Pam Bondi on the list for consideration to fill the Senate seat.
"The Colonel" Tom Mortenson, a resident of Temple Terrace for nearly 50 years pointed out that "Pam Bondi's hometown is Temple Terrace, Florida. Her dad, Joseph Bondi, served on the city council member and then Mayor of Temple Terrace. She is a graduate of C. Leon King High School in Tampa" Mortenson said.
Mortenson in his letter to the Govenor acknowledged that "as Governor, DeSantis has the opportunity to ensure that our state is represented by the very best person. While no easy task I know that you will select the right person to serve until 2026 when a special election would be held to serve out the remaining two years of Rubioβs term."

According to Mortenson, " Bondi served as the 37th Florida attorney general from 2011 to 2019. She is the first woman elected to the office. Adding her to the list for consideration adds depth to the selection process and she is more than capable to represent the state in the United States Senate."
'Persons supporting Pam's appointment should contact the Governor's Office and voice their opinion," Mortenson said.
