Crime Report: Another Golf Bag Stolen from Cart
This is the second time in recent history a bag has been snatched from a golfer's cart.

Two weeks after an unattended golf bag was stolen while a golfer was on tee, another bag was taken from a golf cart.
Community Service Officer Tracy Mishler said the second bag was taken Nov. 10 at 1:50 p.m. from a golf cart near Bullard Parkway and Burlingame Avenue. The bag contained a wallet with credit cards inside.
The from a golf cart near Bullard Parkway and Glen Arven Avenue on Oct. 26. In that case, the bag contained clubs, jewelry and credit cards. The cards were used in the West Tampa and New Port Richey areas.

Mishler said police donβt know if the same person is responsible for both thefts because there was no suspect description in the Nov. 10 case. Additionally, police in Tampa and deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriffβs Office have seen similar thefts throughout Hillsborough County.
βIt appears to be other golf courses in the area being targeted, too,β he said.

The suspect in the Oct. 26 Temple Terrace case is described as a white male, age 30-35, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall, 150 to 170 pounds. He has brown or dirty blond hair. His vehicle was a silver or light-colored four-door sedan.
Mishler warned golfers to not leave valuables such as wallets and jewelry inside their golf bags for potential thieves to steal.
βIt is bad enough that they would take your golf bag and clubs,β he said in an email to the community. βLetβs avoid providing them other incentives to continue taking the golf bags.β
