TEMPLE TERRACE, FL β€” Fascinated by quantum physics, 16-year-old Lexline Johnson created an app that makes the field easily understandable through everyday terms.

Her goal was to make STEM topics less intimidating for students.

The app she developed combines the interactive exploration of quantum entanglement with colorful visuals to provide an experience that is both informative and engaging to young users.

Now, Lexline has been selected as one of a few students around the world for Apple's prestigious scholarship for teens, the Swift Student Challenge. The challenge allows students to showcase their passion for coding by creating a Swift Playgrounds app project on the topic of their choice.

Winners will receive exclusive WWDC22 outerwear, a customized pin set and one year of membership in the Apple Developer Program.
