Best of 2012: Mom, Daughters Have Same Birthdate

As 2012 comes to a close, Temple Terrace Patch is taking a look back at the year that was.

In April, we brought you the quirky story of the Gauna family, whose mother, Kim, shares the same birthdate with her daughters, Mia, 3, and newborn Emalyn. Kim was born on March 20, 1979, Mia on March 20, 2009, and Emalyn on March 20, 2012. Fred Gauna, Kim’s husband and the girls’ father, called the phenomenon “a strange coincidence.”

Thanks to this story getting picked up by The Huffington Post, it got 164 Facebook likes and has become one of our favorite anecdotes.
