Update: Principals Cancel Council Presentations Due to Weather
Elementary school principals were expected to make presentations at tonight's City Council meeting but have canceled because of concerns about rough weather.

Update: School principals have canceled their presentations at tonight's meeting because of the inclement weather that is expected.
Mayor Joe Affronti and the City Council will hear from principals at their next two meetings to showcase the programs and activities at local schools.
The first round of principals will speak at tonightβs meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at . Principals from , , and will talk about the educational opportunities they offer.

According to the meeting agenda, the council is also scheduled to:
- have two public hearings. The first involves amending the cityβs Comprehensive Plan by updating a capital improvements element. The second involves rezoning Lovelace Dairy Farm at 7911 and 8601 Harney Road from Hillsborough County Agricultural-Rural and Planned Development to City Agricultural-Urban. Anyone can speak at these hearings.
- hear two presentations. The first will involve a Tampa Bay Partnershipβs Regional Business Plan, and the second will involve marketing Temple Terrace.
- vote on three resolutions. The first involves the purchase of a 2011 ambulance in the amount of $270,748. The second involves the purchase of six hurricane doors and their installation at in the amount of $47,020. The last involves supporting the Tampa Bay Partnershipβs Regional Business Plan to provide for a long-term vision of economic growth and development.
