Crime Report: Burglars Break Into Homes
The following information was supplied by Community Service Officer Tracy Mishler, of the Temple Terrace Police Department.

Burglary
Sept. 4, 12:34 p.m.
7600 block of Gulf Court
A neighbor reported observing a silver 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass backed in the driveway of the home, according to Community Service Officer Tracy Mishler. The driver stayed in the vehicle and kept it idling. The passenger left the vehicle and used a screwdriver to break out the window of the home.
The passenger cut himself and returned to the vehicle to get a white T-shirt to stop the bleeding. He then entered the home.
Responding officers arrived and arrested the driver. The passenger fled on foot and was eventually arrested, Mishler said.

Sept. 5, 2:05 p.m.
7700 block of Glades Court
An unknown subject stole a lawn mower, Mishler said. The subject is a man between the ages of 14 and 17, between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-5, and 120 to 140 pounds. He was wearing a black tank top, gray or blue shorts, white shoes and white socks.

7600 block of Glades Court
Unknown subjects entered an unlocked 2002 Chevy SUV and took a stereo, four speakers, a flip monitor, a stereo equalizer, an amplifier, and a GPS system, Mishler said.

Sept. 8, between 8 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
13100 block of North 52nd Street
Unknown subjects broke out a master bedroom window and took a laptop, an Xbox gaming system and a small amount of change, Mishler said.
Sudden Snatch Robbery
Sept. 8, 4:31 p.m.
Temple Heights Road and Overlook Drive
A 53-year-old female was walking home from Publix when an unknown male came up behind her and snatched her purse from her shoulder, Mishler said. The purse contained $6. It was recovered without the money on Temple Heights Road. The man ran from the scene west on Temple Heights Road.
The man is between the ages of 18 and 25, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, with a slender build and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black or blue tank top and gray sweat pants.

Sometime between Sept. 3 and 11
11300 block of Suncreek Place
A neighbor noticed a broken rear window of home, Mishler said. The inside of the home was ransacked. It is unknown if anything was stolen at this time.

Sept. 12, between 2 and 6 p.m.
600 block of Vanderbaker Road
Unknown subjects broke a pane of glass adjacent to the front door, reached in and opened the front door, Mishler said. The burglars took a laptop computer, a desktop computer, two flat screen TVs, two digital cameras and some prescription medications.
Mishler said a neighbor reported a dark gray late model Dodge Charger with dark tinted windows pulled into his driveway around 2 p.m. the same day. The passenger exited the vehicle and knocked on the front door. The neighbor answered the door, and the subject asked for a female by name, possibly “Abbey” or something similar. The subject then left when he learned that no one by that name lived at the home. The vehicle traveled south on Vanderbaker Road.
Mishler said the passenger is between the ages of 20 and 25, 5-foot-9 to 6 feet tall, and 140 to 150 pounds. He has a slender build and was wearing a white T-shirt, long black shorts, and a black baseball cap.
Mishler warned that burglars use this technique to see if anyone is home during the day.
