Why Go: Picking up trash along the coastlines makes our parks look better and helps the environment. Plus, you’ll be part of an event that’s taking place worldwide.

Why Go: Masque Community is moving and needs help packing equipment and loading a truck. Let them know that you appreciate the arts and entertainment they provide for the community by giving back to them.

Why Go: Join Advanced Master Beekeeper, Gary Van Cleef to learn all about bees and their importance to the world.

Why Go: The clinic is open to kids 7-16 regardless of experience level. Kids will learn base volleyball skills like setting, serving and hitting from experienced coaches.

Why Go: Show your support for the City of Temple Terrace Gymnastics Team by attending this event and participating in some of the fund-raisers. There will be an obstacle course, team demos and group dances, games and more.

When: Begins Sept. 17, 1-4 p.m.

Why Go: Girls in first- through eighth-grades will learn dance moves from the award-winning King High School Lionettes Dance Team, and then perform them with the Lionettes and the King Marching Lions on the field during the pregame show Sept. 23. No dance experience is required.

Where: First United Church of Christ, 7308 E. Fowler Ave.
Why Go: Anyone with an interest in the practice is invited to come and ask questions and even be led by one of the volunteer instructors in a few of the movements.
