The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is on scene at 54th Street North and Sligh Avenue where it appears that human bones have been discovered, according to the sheriff’s office.
The bones were found in a vacant lot by a lawn crew that had been hired to clean up the lot by the new property owner, the sheriff’s office said.
“It appears that the bones have been there for a while and we have no other information at this time,” said Debbie Carter, sheriff’s office spokesperson.
