Juniors Present This Yearβs Holiday Ornament
The Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club is now selling its Heritage Collectible Ornament 2011.

As the GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Womanβs Club prepares for its , it is also ready to present the 14thΒ in a collectible series of commemorative ornaments highlighting scenes or landmarks in Temple Terrace.
The 2011 ornament commemorates the Temple Terrace Tree City USA designation. To qualify for a Tree City USA designation, which must be renewed annually, a municipality must have a department charged with overseeing its trees; an annual budget that includes an allotment of a least $2 per capita for tree maintenance; a tree care ordinance; and an Arbor DayΒ observance.

Every year since 2008, Temple Terrace has met theΒ standards set by the National Association of State Foresters,Β the U.S. Forest Service and the Arbor Day Foundation.

The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Womanβs Club is a non-profit service organization of volunteers who focus on leadership development through community service.Β The club was organized in 1958 and became a charter member of the General Federation of Womenβs Clubs.Β Locally, the clubΒ directly supports many community projects with donations of time and money. The club meets from August to May on the thirdΒ Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at Woodmont Clubhouse, 415 Woodmont Ave.
