Juniors Treat Women to 'Night Out'
Women and a few men visited the Lightfoot Recreation Center, which was filled with vendors selling goodies Monday night for the annual Junior Woman's Club Holiday Open House.
Shannon Gironas, of Temple Terrace, looked over all the paperweights the GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club was selling at their annual Holiday Open House—Girls Night Out.
Like the stepping stones that the club has been spreading around Temple Terrace, the paperweights were made out of pieces of tile from the old in February in the downtown redevelopment area.
"These are really from Publix, right?" Gironas asked club member Irene Bosek, who was manning the table.

Gironas ended up buying two star-shaped paperweights.
"I spent all my life as a child in that store," she said.

Gironas was one of numerous women—and a few men—who slowly milled around the Lightfoot Recreation Center Monday evening to shop for gifts during the Girls Night Out.
There was jewelry, art, handmade items, bags, honey and more.
There was also a silent auction, as well as a drawing for a $500 Visa Gift Card made possible by Silver Sponsors Joyce Coleman State Farm and Temple Terrace Animal and Bird Hospital.
And the Temple Terrace Juniorettes served hot dogs, chips and soda.
