Juniors Welcome New Members, Donate to Dress for Success

The club recently had its May meeting.

The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman’s Club installed two new members during its May meeting, which had a high tea theme.

Rebecca Canella and Carrie Young were welcomed into the club.

Traditionally, a high tea consists of tea, finger sandwiches, fruit, cheese and crackers, cookies and cupcakes.

Donations of clothing were given to Executive Director Katie McGill, who spoke to club members about how her company helps women get back into the workplace through donations of business wear, help with resumes and job interview assistance.

The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club consists of ladies ages 18 and older who want to make a difference in the community and the world. The club meets on the third Thursday of the month except for June and July at 6 p.m. for social time, and 6:30 p.m. for the regular meeting at Woodmont Clubhouse.
