• Site plan for Temple Terrace's first Culver's approved (tampabeacon.com) — Temple Terrace City Council has approved the site plan for the city’s first Culver’s on Fowler Avenue and backed a land-use change that could double housing density on nearby property. Residents raised flooding and traffic concerns, while others argued denser development fits Temple Terrace’s urban core and transit access.
   

• Build it with synthetic turf, and they will come (tampabeacon.com) — Temple Terrace has unveiled a new synthetic turf Buddy Baseball field, jointly funded with Hillsborough County, to better serve players with special needs. The upgraded surface behind Lewis Elementary will allow more teams, safer play for wheelchair users, and a smoother upcoming season for this long-running Temple Terrace-based league.
   

• Legislative Session preview: Tampa Bay area lawmakers collectively seek some $400M in funding for local projects (floridapolitics.com) — State Rep. Traci Koster is seeking $4.5 million to harden Temple Terrace’s Emergency Operations Center, which also houses critical city computer systems and backup police and fire dispatch. The request is part of a broader $400 million wish list Tampa Bay lawmakers are bringing to this year’s Legislative Session, with many projects competing amid tighter state budget projections.
