Plan for Terrace Park and University Square Coming Together

After nearly a year of planning and discussions, a vision for the area is moving forward.

Many Temple Terrace residents pass through the nearby area of Terrace Park and University Square as part of their daily commutes and weekly routines.

In early 2012, Tampa City Council member Lisa Montelione led the charge to craft a vision for dealing with the traffic and crime in the area. She also wanted to work on the area's sense of community.

Last week, the plan received formal recognition from the Tampa City Council, according to Tampabay.com.
