Riverhills Elementary Magnet IB Receives National Certification

TEMPLE TERRACE, FL — Riverhills Elementary Magnet IB World School is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a nationally certified magnet school, reaching the highest level of certification as a Certified-Demonstration Magnet School.

Nationally certified magnet schools provide high-quality, innovative educational options to families and students that promote choice, diversity and academic excellence. Both Riverhills and MacFarlane Park IB met the criteria for excellence and surpassed all expectations.

This distinction is the first in the history of Hillsborough County public schools.

Riverhills became an authorized International Baccalaureate World School in 2016. In that year, the school also was recognized as the top New and Emerging Magnet Program in the country by Magnet Schools of America. Since then, Riverhills IB has been evaluated again by the International Baccalaureate Organization and received glowing feedback on the growth of the program.

Being a Certified-Demonstration Magnet Program validates the hard work of the administration, staff and families. Every day, they aspire to empower children to create a better future.
