Fall into History With Tampa Changing

Join local photographer Bryan Weinstein at the Temple Terrace Library on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. for a Viva Florida 500 program focusing on how Temple Terrace and Tampa have changed through the years. Bryan’s photos, which show modern views of the area contrasted with historic photos of the same angle, show a time-elapsed view of nearly 100 years.

Skipper’s Smokehouse in North Tampa is pulling out all the stops for its 33rd birthday party Sept. 21. Twelve bands will play on the Skipper’s stage starting at noon and running through midnight. Weekend Weather Could Get Shaky

While there’s a low chance for storms Friday and Saturday during the day, the potential for action heats up Saturday night with a 40 percent chance of showers. Thunderstorms are likely on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service, and it appears the same will hold true for the start of the workweek.
