Temple Terrace to Host Expo All About Seniors
The annual Senior Expo will take place at the Family Recreation Complex on March 8.
In-home care companies, health facilities and older adult programs are just some of the services that will be on display March 8 during the 24th annual Temple Terrace Senior Expo.
The event will take place 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Family Recreation Complex. Itβs free and offers seniors and their families βa chance to meet one-on-one with representatives of area businesses and agencies that cater to their needs,β according to a City of Temple Terrace press release.
Businesses and organizations will be distributing information, answering questions and demonstrating their products and services. According to the release, few participants include:

A free continental breakfast will be available at 8 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the release. And, a free βto goβ lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to noon, courtesy of Hillsborough County Aging Services.

βThere will be musical entertainment, door prizes, bingo and other fun-filled activities,β the release states. βMany City of Temple Terrace departments will be on hand, too, with personnel ready to answer questions and provide brochures and other handouts.β
Also during the event, anyone can bring expired, unused or unwanted medicines and prescription drugs to the event between 9 a.m. and noon and drop them off through Operation Medicine Cabinet. According to the release, the Temple Terrace Police Department and Home Instead Senior Care are presenting the program. Police officers will take the medications to a hazardous waste collection site for disposal.
