Community Service Officer Tracy Mishler said this week that he often receives e-mails and phone calls from concerned citizens regarding the issue of phishing scams and computer crimes.
Local police don’t investigate these types of scams unless someone becomes a victim, Mishler said. If you receive any sort of electronic solicitation for money that might be a scam, Mishler said you should report that information to the Internet Crime Complaint Center.
