Watch Warns of Possible Flooding Through Wednesday
Heavy rain is expected through Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch through Wednesday night for the entire Tampa Bay region, including Temple Terrace.
A flood watch means that itβs possible flooding will occur in the next 24 to 36 hours.

The watch went up as theΒ βmiserableβ weather forecasters predicted moved into the Bay area Monday. Rainfall has already added up to 4 to 6 inches in some areas in the last 24 hours as a stalled front sits over the region, according to theΒ weather serviceβs website.
βAdditional heavy rainfall amounts are expected through Wednesday (Sept. 25),β forecasters say. At this time, it is anticipated another 3 to 5 inches will fall as the front makes its way through the Bay.

Residents in flood prone areas are being asked to take measures to protect their properties. Motorists should also exercise caution on the roads as localized flooding is possible.
Meteorologist Andrew McKaughan warned on Monday that bad weather was heading our way.
βItβs going to be wet,β he said. βWeβre expecting quite a bit of rainfall going into Thursday. Itβs definitely going to be miserable.β
