• Wildland firefighter paralyzed after Wesley Chapel shooting: 'I was convinced I was going to die' (fox13news.com) — A wildland firefighter visiting his girlfriend at a Wesley Chapel apartment complex was shot four times in November, leaving him paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Deputies arrested his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend on attempted murder and related charges, while the victim now faces ongoing surgeries, intense pain, and trauma as he works toward recovery.
