Apartment Complex Under Construction Near Westchase Library

By next year Westchase may have more than 300 new apartment units. That's because a Camden Apartment complex is being built on Countryway Boulevard.

The early stages of this two-phase project can be seen by motorists and pedestrians traveling north on Countryway. The site is located just south of Citrus Park Drive and next to Lexington Park Townhomes. The apartments would be across the street from the Upper Tampa Bay Regional Library.

The project was zoned for approval in 2009, according to county records. It will be several units totalling 348 units. A separate retail component is also planned, but must be approved for construction.

The Camden Apartments are quite prevalent throughout the country, including at least eight complexes in the Tampa Bay area.
