Chess Club, Bedtime Stories: 5 Things To Know About the School Week, March 5-9
What you need to know about the week ahead.
- Hammond Elementary School is holding a fundraiser drive, March 5-9 to help The Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Make your donations in boxes inside the school's media center. For more information call Heather Soltis, school guidance counselor at 813-792-5120 x225.
- Does your child enjoy chess? Want them to learn the game? meets every Tuesday after school until 5:30 p. m. Applications to participate are located in the main office. An experienced chess coach is on hand.
- Is your child going to take the ACT exam? The deadline to register for the April 14 test is Friday, March 9. For more details go here.
- It's Kindergarten Bedtime Stories at on Tuesday, March 6 at 6:30pm-7:30pm. Kindergarten students wear their pajamas and Principal Bass and teachers read them bedtime stories.
- The Medieval Fair is Friday, March 9. Volunteers are needed, as are small toys and stuffed animals. Donations can be made by stopping by the school's office. For more information contact Amy Daner at Students, teachers and helpers always have a great time at amy.daner@gmail.com
