Coronavirus Vaccination Sites In Hillsborough County
Federal, state and county sites, as well as pharmacies and hospitals, offer the shots, all with different ways of securing an appointment.

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine appointment has certainly been difficult for many. In Hillsborough County there are Federal vaccination sites, State vaccination sites, County vaccination sites, pharmacies, and hospitals that offer the vaccine. Each have different ways to secure an appointment. Below explains the options.
Federal Vaccination Site
- Tampa Greyhound Track
The COVID-19 Vaccine site at the Tampa Greyhound Track, is located at 755 E. Waters Ave. in Tampa and open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily (weekends included). The site offers Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. No appointments are required and it is a walk-up site.

Who's eligible at the Federal-run site?
Those who work in pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools, as well as Head Start and Early Head Start programs (including teachers, staff, and bus drivers) and those who work as or for licensed child care providers, including center-based and family care providers.
Persons deemed medically vulnerable by a physician can also get vaccinated at this site. Those deemed medically vulnerable by a physician, MUST have this form, completed and signed by a physician. Currently, the Federal-run site, hospitals and pharmacies are the only place those deemed medically vulnerable by a physician can get vaccinated at. Additional groups who qualify are:
- Anyone who needs a second Pfizer vaccine
- Seniors age 65 and older
- Health care personnel who have direct contract with the public
- K-12 school employees
- Sworn law enforcement officers age 50 and older
- Firefighters age 50 and older
County Vaccination Sites:
- Vance Vogel Sports Complex, 13012 Bullfrog Creek Road in Gibsonton
- Ed Radice Sports Complex, 14720 Ed Radice Drive in Tampa
- TPepin's Hospitality Centre, 4121 N. 50th St. in Tampa
Appointments for vaccinations at a County-operated site are mandatory. There will be no vaccines for persons without appointments.
To make an appointment:
- Create an account with CDR Health Pro by visiting patientportalfl.com. You cannot receive an appointment without first creating an account.
- Select from available appointments for your first dose and your second dose appointment will be automatically assigned.
Eligibility (must fall in one of the following groups)
- Seniors age 60 and older
- Health care personnel who have direct contract with the public
- Pre-K through Grade 12 school employees (public, private, and charter)
- Sworn law enforcement officers age 50 and older
- Firefighters age 50 and older
Persons without proper applicable credentials will not receive a vaccine and will be turned away.
One of the following documents will be accepted:
- Government Issued ID
- Organizational identification card or badge for eligible categories
- Medical license (if applicable)
- Paystub showing employment for eligible categories
- W-2 IRS form showing employer for eligible categories
- An employment verification letter on letterhead for eligible categories
State Vaccination Site:
- Raymond James Stadium, Lot 14, 4201 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. in Tampa
Appointments for vaccinations at a State-operated site are mandatory. There will be no vaccines for persons without appointments. The state uses a statewide preregistration system to schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments. Eligible individuals can pre-register for vaccine appointments and be notified when appointments are available in their area by visiting MyVaccine.FL.gov. The support number is 833-540-2028.
Persons without proper applicable credentials will not receive a vaccine and will be turned away.
Eligibility (must fall in one of the following groups)
- Individuals 65 years of age and older (changes to 60 as of Monday, March 15, 2021)
- Frontline health care workers
- K-12 School Employees 50 years+
- Sworn Law Enforcement Officers 50 years+
- Firefighters 50 years+
