District to Hold First Parent Meeting to Discuss Empowering Effective Teachers

The superintendant and parents will come together to discuss supporting the teaching community.

Hillsborough county schools and the PTA/PTSA are holding a series of parent forums regarding how the community can better support its teachers.

The first meeting will be on Monday, Sept. 26 at 5:30pm in Chamberlain High School's auditorium. 

Superintendent of Schools MaryEllen Elia and PTA/PTSA County Council President Melissa Erickson will share with parents information about the Empowering Effective Teachers initiative.

They also will ask parents for their input regarding effective teaching and answer parent questions about the initiative. Future parent meetings will be held in the coming months at schools throughout the county.

Chamberlain High School is located at 9401 N. Boulevard in Tampa.
