Drug Bust Results In Five Arrests

Law enforcement uncovered 160 pounds of marijuana in a Citrus Park drug bust.

Five people were arrested in a earlier this week, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities recovered 160 pounds of marijuana at a Citrus Park home on June 7. As a result the following people were arrested:

  • Alberto Cala-Ramos, 39, of Miami. Charged with Armed Trafficking in Marijuana.
  • Nelson Soto-Sarria, 37, of Tampa. Charged with Armed Trafficking in Marijuana and Battery on a LEO.
  • Orlando Quintana, 54 of Tampa. Charged with Armed Trafficking in Marijuana.
  • Frank Cedeno, 38, of Tampa. Charged with Armed Trafficking in Marijuana.
  • Jorge Luis Gonzalez-Gonzalez, 42, of Tampa. Charged with Armed Trafficking in Marijuana.

In May the department's Environmental Enforcement Unit responded to a case of illegal dumping in Odessa. The dumping case held clues to the home where the marijuana was being stored. When deputies responded to the Citrus Park home, located at 8733 S. Meadowview Circle they found the drugs. All those arrested at the home were transported to Orient Road Jail. The bust also yielded an air conditioning handler which was reported stolen by the Lakeland Police Department and a stove which was reported stolen by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
