Enclave Gets Community District's Support

The Westchase Community Development District will maintain the entrance of the neighborhood.

The Westchase Community Development District will begin maintaining the landscaping at the entrance of the Enclave subdivision, according to a vote taken Tuesday evening during the boards meeting.

“Historically for some reason the developer planted and controlled the entrance to that development,” said Greg Chesney, chairman for Westchase Community Development District. "We never changed it.”

Like most Westchase residents, Enclave residents paid dues to the Community Development District. The East and West community development districts maintain common areas in Westchase, including greenways and parks.

"We've been paying for the maintenance ourselves," said John Jordan, Enclave board president. "This way when the landscapers come out we can stay uniformed."

The upkeep would cost about an additional $160, according to Field Supervisor Doug Mays. That equates to about 8 trays of annuals, he said.
