Keystone Couple Look Beyond Presidential Candidate ro Advisory Team

The Swains voted at the Austin Davis Library.

It wasn't just about the presidential candidate to Jim and Laura Swain. But it was the teams backing the two men vying for the seat that helped the Keystone couple come to their decision on who to vote for.

Specifically Republican economist Phil Gramm, who critics say ushered legislation that eventually lead to the sub-prime mortage crisis. Gramm is an economic advisor to Gov. Mitt Romney.

"Why would you want these guys back in," said Jim Swain, a Keystone resident. "I look at the people behind the president. It's your team; it's not just one guy."

Both Jim and Laura Swain said they were voting for President Barack Obama.

The president's ability to select the next Supreme Court Justice was paramount in Laura Swain's decision.

"That's one of the key features," she said. "The Supreme Court is for life and if Romney is elected it could mean another conservative choice."
