Motorcyclist Critical Following Crash On West Hillsborough

WESTCHASE, FL — A 48-year-old Tampa motorcyclist remains in critical condition following an accident on West Hillsborough Avenue.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 8:37 p.m. Tuesday, Joshua Patrick Weirick, 31, of Tampa was driving a Ford Fusion east on West Hillsborough approaching Countryway Boulevard. He began to make a left turn and entered the path of a Suzuki motorcycle ridden by David Jason Aponte, 48.

Aponte was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital.
