With more rain in the forecast it may be time to consider safety measures. Hillsborough County has sand bags available to those that live in flood prone areas. The bags are free. Several areas of Westchase are flood proned. Residents can get sandbags at the following locations from 7am-5:30pm. <ul> <li>West Service Unit - 9805 Sheldon Road in Tampa</li> <li>Central Service Unit - 4115 South 66th Street in Tampa</li> <li>East Service Unit - 4702 Sydney Road in Plant City</li> <li>South Service Unit - 7820 Big Bend Road in Gibsonton</li> </ul> Sand bags are available on a first-come first-served basis. Residents are required to fill their own sand bags and bags and shovels are available for use at each site. There is a limit of 25 bags per household. For more information on hours and availability, call Public Works Customer Service at (813) 635-5400.
