The Sudler Companies is expanding its industrial warehouse footprint along Florida's Gulf Coast by acquiring two properties.

TAMPA, FL — The Sudler Companies is expanding its industrial warehouse footprint along Florida’s Gulf Coast with the acquisition of two properties totaling 120,000 square feet located next to Tampa International Airport.

The two adjacent properties are a 100,000 square foot light manufacturing facility located at 6005 Benjamin Road and a 20,000 square foot flex-use warehouse at 6001 Benjamin Road.

The 100,000-square-foot location was constructed in 1988 with an addition in 2010, sits on 8.75 acres and is fully air-conditioned.

Sudler plans to rehabilitate the 20,000-square-foot building located at 6001 Benjamin Road as part of Hillsborough County’s Targeted Redevelopment Program.

“Demand for space in the Tampa market is soaring right now,” said Daniel Sudler, principal at The Sudler Companies. “With the acquisition of these two properties, we not only see the value in the site’s proximity to Tampa’s airport but we are also further establishing our company’s commitment to the economy in Central Florida."

John Heald from CBRE represented Sudler on the acquisition and Kris Courier, Tom Quinlan, and Heald from CBRE will handle the leasing assignment.

In addition to the two recent acquisitions, Sudler also started construction at its 2-million-square-foot Southern Oaks Business Park in Plant City. Currently, they are pouring concrete on a 727,000-square-foot fully-cross docked warehouse with frontage on the I-4 to kick off the park. The building will be delivered Q1 of 2022.

The 233-acre development is located along Interstate 4, giving it direct cross-state access to the Tampa and Orlando markets and is only seven minutes from Lakeland Linder International Airport, home to a recently completed $100 million Amazon Air Freight Hub.

“We are already generating inquiries from interested tenants at both locations in Tampa and Plant City,” added Sudler. “At Southern Oaks with neighbors like City Furniture, Amazon, Home Depot, Ace Hardware and DHL, prospective clients see the value in having a centralized location with a growing population and workforce.”
