• Carter introduces bill awarding Congressional Gold Medal to the fallen patriots of Thiokol (house.gov) — A new bill in Congress would award the Congressional Gold Medal to honor 30 workers killed in deadly 1970s explosions at the Thiokol plant, including two victims from Yulee. The proposal recognizes their sacrifice during Vietnam War production and aims to keep their stories alive at the Thiokol Memorial Museum.
