Cyber Attack In GA County Where Trump Is Charged: Reports
The breach affected the justice system, sheriff's office and other services.
FULTON COUNTY, GA — A cyber attack has targeted Fulton County, according to multiple media reports.
A news release on the county's website said it was "experiencing an unexpected IT outage currently affecting multiple systems."
Information technology experts were working to address the issue, according to the county. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported law enforcement was investigating.

Offices were largely unable to accept phone calls but could receive emails at customerservice@fultoncountyga.gov. Property tax and justice system transactions, including firearm and marriage licenses, were limited, according to the county. The tax commissioner's downtown Atlanta office was closed.
Sheriff's office phones were also affected and the public was instead asked to email FCSO.Communications@fultoncountyga.gov. Public computers were temporarily unavailable at county libraries, although the library catalog was working.

Former President Donald Trump and 18 others were indicted by a Fulton County grand jury in August, accused of participating in a wide-ranging scheme to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia. Four people have already pleaded guilty after reaching deals with prosecutors. Trump and the others have pleaded not guilty.
