A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an Acworth man who allegedly stole his cousin's jewelry, then used the same relative's stolen driver's license to pawn the items.
Between 2:34 p.m. and 4:54 p.m. May 4, Jonathan Dewayne Fairchild allegedly stole a woman's tennis bracelet and a set of stolen Buckingham climbing spikes and gear, according to the warrant. The items had a total value of about $600.
Using the cousin's license, Fairchild allegedly pawned the items at a Sandtown Road Cash America Pawn for $135. The driver's license had been reported stolen in 2012 to the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, records show.
Fairchild is wanted on charges that include theft by receiving, theft by deception and identity fraud.
