Arrest in Peeping Tom Case

The alleged victim identified the suspect as a man with distinctive tattoos she saw Saturday walking near her home.

For an Acworth man in her home, it was his own that led to his arrest.

About 2 p.m. Saturday, the 50-year-old woman, a resident of Lake Shore Circle in Acworth, spotted him walking near Lake Acworth behind her home and called 911, authorities said in a press release.

Chase Thomas Kirby, 25, also of Lake Shore Circle, was positively identified—due to his several distinctive tattoos—as the alleged peeping Tom who committed lewd sexual acts and exposed himself in front of the woman's home surveillance cameras.

Kirby was arrested and charged with stalking, public indecency and criminal trespass. About 6 p.m., he was waiting to complete jail booking procedures.

Sheriff Clark Millsap said in the release that Monday through early Tuesday of last week, the victim returned home from work and the next morning noticed someone had unhooked several surveillance cameras outside her home.

A review of the video footage captured that night revealed that shortly after she arrived home, the peeping Tom was looking in her windows, committing lewd sex acts and exposing himself in front of the cameras.
