From the Acworth Police DepartmentThe Acworth Police Department will kick off the 8th Annual, 24 hour award winning fundraiser, "Covering the Bases" at 6:00pm on September 11th at the Horizon Field in the Acworth Sports Complex. All proceeds go directly to the field which funds various programs allowing children with physical and cognitive disabilities to participate in organized sports. The Acworth Police Department has raised more than $150,000.00 for this league and its athletes.This year's activities will include:<ul><li>Special Sept. 11th presentation to start the event at 6:00 on the 11th </li><li>Movie on the field – FREE - "Big Hero 6" at 8:30 on the 11th </li><li>Midnight kickball tournament FREE Entry, bring your team for competition </li><li>Silent Auction – Many items to choose from including sports memorabilia </li><li>Many local vendors and sponsors will be on site throughout the event </li><li>Bounce Houses and much, much more</li></ul>
