$10K In Cash, Lottery Tickets Stolen In Store Burglary
Alpharetta police are investigating the burglary, which was reported early Sunday on Old Milton Parkway.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Alpharetta police are investigating a burglary in which a safe filled with cash and lottery tickets was stolen from a convenience store. Officers were dispatched to a commercial burglary call around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2 at Valero at 2190 Old Milton Parkway.
An officer at the scene noticed signs of forced entry on the door frame, which appeared to have been pried open by a tool that left behind yellow paint, according to a police incident report. The owner of the business said a safe from under the store's counter was stolen.
Checkbooks and roughly $10,000 in cash and lottery tickets were inside the safe, he told officers. While on the scene, officers were informed that a similar incident had just occurred within Roswell's jurisdiction.
