FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — On the heels of several new restaurant and retailer announcements and openings at Halcyon this fall, the mixed-use village recently announced the addition of two new businesses.

Board & Brush Creative Studio, a wine-and-craft concept where guests can create farmhouse-chic décor, and Georgia’s first Clean Your Dirty Face, a 30-minute facial bar, have plans to open on the 135-acre property.

“Opening a locally owned business during ‘normal’ times is no easy feat, and opening during a pandemic especially takes incredible creativity, resiliency and a strong connection to the community,” said Phil Mays, principal at RocaPoint Partners and developer of Halcyon. “With distinct offerings and fast-growing popularity across the country, we’re optimistic that newcomers Board & Brush and Clean Your Dirty Face not only have the gumption to succeed at Halcyon, but also further advance our status as one of the South’s leading lifestyles centers within just one year since opening.”

Board & Brush began as a girls’ night out activity in the founder’s basement and quickly blossomed to more than 270 locations across the country. Each workshop is instructor-led, making it possible for everyone to choose their own design and create a unique piece of home décor. The hands-on workshops require advance registration and include the stencils, stains and everything guests need to leave with a customized wooden sign – plus the skills to repeat the process at home. The Halcyon studio will welcome participants to purchase a glass of wine or beer from Board & Brush or any of Halcyon’s 15+ restaurants to enjoy as they create their work of art.

Ahead of the studio’s anticipated opening in early 2021, co-owners Shea Brown and Johnna Eaton plan to participate in many of the community’s upcoming outdoor events, including Halloween at Halcyon on Oct. 24 and the Halcyon Farmers Market, with new health guidelines. Board & Brush at Halcyon is also now accepting 2021 reservations for a wide variety of private experiences including bridal showers, bachelorette gatherings, children’s birthday parties, corporate events and more. “Building upon our past studio workshops and Johnna’s active studio in Statesboro, we’re excited for the opportunity to bring this experience to Halcyon and meet more DIY masters in Forsyth County,” said Brown, who lives in Alpharetta. “We may call the craft projects ‘do it yourself’ but Board & Brush is really about making beautiful projects and lasting memories together.”

Another experiential offering this month at Halcyon, Clean Your Dirty Face’s first Georgia location is welcoming guests with several opening promotions, including founding memberships for only $99, plus a free bottle of the brand’s Vitamin C Face Oil. Discounted founding memberships will be available until 99 memberships are sold. New clients can also redeem 50 percent off their first facial with completion of the “Virgin Code” survey, linked on the homepage of the website (www.cleanyourdirtyface.com).

Comprised of licensed estheticians devoted to a simple facial process geared toward leaving clients with cleaner, more radiant skin in less than 30 minutes, the Clean Your Dirty Face team uses the brand’s own line of non-toxic products, such as the bestselling anti-aging Goddess line, Green Monster line for acne-prone skin and lemon-based products for brightening. Halcyon is the company’s seventh location across the county since the facial bar first launched in 2015.

“While this year has brought many ups and downs for all of us, delivering on our promise of debuting the first Clean Your Dirty Face concept in metro Atlanta is a dream come true,” said Nicky Gandhi, owner of the Halcyon location and an Alpharetta resident. “If only for 30 minutes, we hope our stress-free facial bar experience offers our clients luxury within reach and the joy of practicing self-care.”

Guests are encouraged to visit Clean Your Dirty Face’s website and social media for the latest updates on health guidelines and hours of operation as the opening of the Halcyon location approaches.
